FAIC offers several grants and scholarships to promote access to professional development, outreach to the public, and support research and publications. Explore the variety of funding opportunities to find support for your project.

Professional Development Grants & Scholarships

Fourteen funding categories support projects that promote educational opportunities for conservation professionals throughout their career. Apply for support to attend workshops and conferences, both domestically and abroad.


Conservation Grants

FAIC/Tru Vue Conservation and Exhibition Grants support projects in glazing applications for preservation and exhibition of museum and library collections.

Outreach Grants

Holly Maxson Conservation Grants, Lecture Grants, and Community Partnership Project Grants support individuals and organizations conducting activities that reach a wider public and help institutions conserve their collections.


Publication Grants

FAIC/Samuel H. Kress Conservation Publication Fellowships fund the creation of manuscripts that improve the quality and quantity of publications in the field of conservation.


Emergency Preparedness and Response Grants

Alliance for Response Microgrants help Alliance for Response (AFR) Member Networks remain ready to serve their communities. We are currently accepting applications for 2023 AFR microgrants. The Emergency Collections Assessment for Preservation program helps museums whose collections have been impacted by a disaster receive collections care recommendations from conservation and building professionals on an expedited basis.
