Interested in using your conservation expertise to support small and mid-sized cultural institutions? Volunteer as a C2C Care Community Monitor!
FAIC's Connecting to Collections Care program is seeking volunteer monitors for the Connecting to Collections Care Community.
During a two-week monitoring shift, volunteers help respond to practical collections care and preservation questions submitted by collections caretakers. Your guidance can help someone troubleshoot an immediate problem, identify next steps, or connect with the right resources.
What to expect
- Serve one or more two-week monitoring shifts between September 2026 and September 2027
- Review questions posted to the C2C Care Community and provide clear, practical guidance
- Refer to C2C Care volunteer content experts when additional expertise is needed
- Spend approximately 1–4 hours total on monitoring activities during each two-week shift
Monitors should be conservation professionals or currently enrolled in a graduate conservation program.
