    Dear All:
    I have been meaning it ask this question for a while.
    I am regularly asked by clients to recommend an appraiser for their collections, typically for insurance purposes. Rather than recommending a specific person or company, I have typically referred them to three organizations:

    The International Society of Appraisers
    https://www.isa-appraisers.org 

    The Appraisers Association of America
    and
    The American Society of Appraisers
    Do any of you have other suggestions, comments or thoughts on this topic?

    Claire -

         Those are the people I would recommend. They each have a search function to help people find the type of appraiser they need. For people who might think that an appraiser is too expensive, having a proper appraisal can save on insurance and make re-sale go much easier.
