Greetings.  I am looking for examples of museums that allow any covered beverage in collections gallery spaces.
    Please help.
    Thank you, Bev

    Dear Bev,
Actually there is a great webinar on the topic of food and beverage policies right on this site! Check out the webinar by Bethany Palumbo, Rebecca Newberry and Fran Ritchie
    https://www.connectingtocollections.org/beyond-no-food-or-drink-in-the-gallery/
They also have some of their research and data on the SPNHC wiki

    Best,
    Rachael

And, there are also two more Connecting to Collections Care webinars on Food and special events:

Rebecca Newberry and Gretchen Anderson presented  Seasonal Affective Disorder: Caring for Collections During Seasonal Special Events https://www.connectingtocollections.org/seasonal-affective-disorder-caring-for-collections-during-seasonal-special-events/

Barbara Heller presented Protecting Collections During Special Events https://www.connectingtocollections.org/eventsrecording/

All three of these webinars present different aspects of dealing with food in collections, special events, and the evolution of recommendations on how to handle these situations.

These are great tips.  Thank you all so much!
Part of our strategy is to have a list of the few museums that allow unlimited beverages in their galleries ready in case we need to use it in response.  All of the great ammo that you are sending is also much appreciated.
    Thank you
    Bev

I've attached a photo (I hope you can see it) of a half-eaten soft pretzel with mustard sitting in a cardboard tray on top of a mineral display case. It's a picture of what a permissive food and drink policy looks like.
