COVID-19 Vaccination Guidelines
We follow local, state, and federal health agency guidelines for any in-person meeting and will continue monitor the ever-changing advances and restrictions regarding COVID-19. We may need to add additional safety measures to the ones below closer to the conference dates. Please check this page regularly for new information.
As part of our commitment to holding a safe, productive, and successful in-person 50th Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, all in-person attendees1 must be fully vaccinated as defined by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or World Health Organization (WHO).
FDA APPROVED VACCINES
If you are fully vaccinated with a vaccine that has been approved or authorized for emergency use by the FDA, you must show us proof of full vaccination prior to checking-in at the registration desk via the Clear2 Health Pass, a third-party app that verifies a copy of your CDC vaccination card.
Create a Clear Health Pass
- Download the application:

OR go to: https://clear.app.link/AIC50
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions and set notifications settings.
- Click on Create your Health Pass not a "Digital Vaccination Card," and then look up our meeting by opening the "Have a code?" page. Enter AIC50.
- Create a Clear account. Please use the primary email address in your AIC profile, so we can match your pass with your registration.
- Upload vaccination information. You may have to wait up to 24 hours to receive your pass.
WHO APPROVED VACCINES
If you are fully vaccinated with a vaccine that has been approved or authorized for emergency use by the WHO but not by the FDA, you must show proof of full vaccination to us before checking in at the registration by emailing an image of your vaccine card or certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our annual meeting contains offsite events. It is possible that some of the venues for these events will have different regulations from our host hotel. Some offsite venues might require vaccination with FDA-approved vaccines only. We inform registrants as information becomes available.
1 An attendee is defined as either someone who has registered for all or part of the in-person meeting, has received a complimentary registration, is employed by a company exhibiting at the conference to assist with setting up or dismantling an exhibit booth, or is a guest of an attendee at any meeting event (tours, receptions, etc.) or will spend any time in our meeting space.
2 Clear is the same company that runs the airport priority security screening program, but you don't need to be a Clear member to use the app. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau provides this service at no cost to you or us.
