Biographical Information:

Terry Boone has maintained a private practice since 1980 while working full time at major institutions for the past 34 years. She began her career in conservation at the Newberry Library in Chicago before moving on to the National Archives and Records Administration in 1983. While at the National Archives Ms. Boone treated a wide range of archival collection materials while specializing in bound materials and iron gall ink manuscripts. In 1987 she accepted a position as Senior Rare Book Conservator at the Library of Congress where she focused on treating rare bound materials dating from 10th century through the 20th century, as well as leading and participating in research projects and publications addressing collection needs. In 2005 Ms Boone returned to the National Archives as the Exhibits Conservator and then Supervisory Conservator. She retired from the National Archives in December 2017 and is now full time in private practice.
