Hello all!
We have approval to build a new collections work table and I am wondering about the best material for the table top from a preservation perspective. I was thinking I'd use powder-coated steel cabinets as a base for our supplies and make the work table around 4 x 9' (unless someone wants to suggest a different size).
Does anyone have recommendations for the table top material? Is HDPE sheeting an overkill in terms of trying to use inert material? Laminate? What materials would you advise against? Does anyone have the ideal work table and want to share with me why you think its a rock star? We can plan from scratch here.
