    Connecting to Collections Care: CALL FOR ADVISORY GROUP MEMBER APPLICATIONS (2 - 4 hours/month)

    We are seeking new Advisory Group volunteers! This is a two-year position (January 2024 - December 2026) with the potential to renew for a second term. One of these openings is for an emerging professional who will liaise with ECPN. 

    Vision: Connecting to Collections Care shares conservation and preservation expertise with people who care for cultural heritage at small and mid-sized organizations.

    We provide resources, professional development opportunities, and support for collections care in the form of free webinars, low-cost courses, and a moderated discussion community. Our goal is to provide practical and cost-effective guidance that recognizes the staffing and budgetary constraints faced by smaller organizations.

    Advisory Group Responsibilities

    • Attend monthly virtual meetings during regular business hours.

    • Suggest ideas for programming, including online webinars and courses.

    • Periodically take responsibility for contacting and securing qualified presenters.

    • Review webinar and course feedback and survey results to improve the quality of the programming offered.

    • Track hours spent on C2C Care activities and report annually to C2C Care leadership.

    • Advocate for C2C Care to our target audience and disseminate announcements as appropriate.

    Qualifications

    • Interest in preservation and collections care outreach to a broad community.

    • Prior experience with C2C Care's target audience of small to mid-sized institutions. 

    At this time, priority will be given to applicants who will diversify the existing Advisory Group's background, particularly those with conservation training, who work with book and paper-based materials, and/or have experience with underrepresented communities. Note also that one of the openings is for an emerging professional.
