The Archaeological Heritage Network (AHN) seeks proposals for the 2026 AIC Annual Meeting in Montréal that reflect the meeting theme: Conservation at the Intersection of Innovation and Tradition. Abstract submissions should center on archaeological conservation. Possible topics include field work, site management, archaeological collections, and/or a significant treatment. We encourage submissions that highlight the use of novel tools and techniques, collaborative work with traditional knowledge holders and materials, and the repurposing/reinvention of alternative materials and technologies for use in archaeological conservation.
Abstraction submission deadline is Tuesday, September 30th, 2025. Abstracts should be no longer than 500 words and be accompanied by author bio(s) of 300 words or less. To review the submission guidelines, please click here. To submit an abstract, please click here.
