The First Aid and Resilience for Cultural Heritage in Times of Crisis (FAR) Programme of ICCROM has released Community-based Heritage Indicators for Peace - A Tool for Measuring Peace. You can download and read the Tool here -Community-Based Heritage Indicators for Peace: A tool for measuring peace | ICCROM

Conceived by ICCROM-FAR with the help of its knowledge partner, Coventry University, Community-based Heritage Indicators for Peace is backed by the Aliph Foundation through its Alliance for Cultural First Aid, Peace and Resilience – a cascading capacity-development project. It is generously supported by the Government of the Principality of Monaco, and is a sequel to PATH - Peacebuilding Assessment Tool for Heritage Recovery and Rehabilitation, which supports the design and implementation of conflict-sensitive heritage interventions.

Community-based Heritage Indicators for Peace aims to assist individuals, community groups, non-governmental organizations and inter-governmental organizations working in the fields of cultural heritage, humanitarian and development aid, conflict transformation, transitional justice and peacebuilding to develop culturally sensitive indicators for peace, which are meaningful to the communities they serve. It can be used to design conflict sensitive projects for heritage recovery, rehabilitation and enhancement, as well as to review, update and evaluate the peacebuilding outcomes of heritage projects in conflict-affected settings.

The Tool is enriched by three case examples from Kosovo, Myanmar and Yemen that illustrate how the methodology for Community-based Heritage Indicators for Peace can be applied to design and evaluate different heritage projects in diverse conflict-affected settings
