I hope you find these responses helpful, Todd; seems like it's a fairly common experience. My internet search found Plexiglass vendor sites who shared their cleaning recommendations. There were many cautions about using alcohol and/or ammonia products routinely for cleaning. Sanitizing with alcohol was a strong first reaction when COVID was new at our library, too. Since it's been shown that COVID is spread through airborne droplets and REALM testing showed there is very little chance of picking up COVID from objects, perhaps some of these extra cleaning protocols will be relaxed.
