Hi Anastazja,
Thanks for your inquiry! I am the current C2CC Monitor, and I have reached out to one of our subject matter experts to see if we can give you some specific information. In the meantime, I think it may be worthwhile for you to peruse the Preparation, Art handling, and Collections Care Information Network (PACCIN). They have some really great information about rigging, and a forum where you may be able to connect with a rigger or someone who can point you in the right direction.

Subject: Moving large stone
Hello,
I am a Preventative Conservator currently working on a project to design a mount and relocate an extremely heavy granite memorial stone which is stacked in two pieces. Unfortunately past exhibition decisions have resulted in this extremely heavy monument being displayed without a mount and it is sitting flush against the floor. We have a second monument exhibiting the very damage I am hoping to avoid with this new move - crowbar damage to the bottom edge.
If anyone has any recommendations as to methodologies or equipment we could apply/invest in, I would be very grateful.
Kind regards,
Anastazja
