    The Penn Museum is hosting a four-part virtual lecture series on the conservation of Egyptian materials, in preparation for the opening of their new Ancient Egypt and Nubia galleries. These lectures are geared toward the general public but will still explore various aspects of artifact conservation - from the preservation of different materials to the reconstruction of monumental architecture.

    Tuesdays, Nov. 5 - 26 2024, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm ET

    Week 1: Introduction to the Preservation and Conservation of Ancient Egyptian Artifacts

    Week 2: Preservation of Organic Materials

    Week 3: Reconstructing Monumental Architecture

    Week 4: Preservation and Science of Ancient Color
