Hi IWG,
Just a reminder that abstracts for the 2025 AIC Annual Meeting are due September 16, 2024. We are really excited about the imaging representation at this upcoming Annual Meeting, so we hope that you will consider submitting an abstract and attending.
The two imaging sessions to consider for submitting abstracts:
- General Concurrent Session: "Capturing Complexity: Addressing Imaging Challenges Through Collaboration" (call for submissions link)
- Joint Specialty Session with Book & Paper (BPG), Photographic Materials (PMG), and Research and Technical Studies (RATS) Session on Imaging: "Technical Imaging of Book, Paper, and Photographic Materials" (call for submissions link)
As Adam mentioned, there will also be an imaging lunch session that you can attend, "Foundations of Spectral Imaging of Cultural Heritage Objects (Multiband, Multispectral and Hyperspectral Imaging)."
We are really excited about the overall imaging program that will run through the 2025 AIC Annual Meeting and our collaborations for these sessions with the Book & Paper Group (BPG), Photographic Materials Group (PMG), and Research and Technical Studies (RATS).
We hope that you will consider submitting an abstract about the cool imaging projects that you are working! Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Subject: Reminder: AIC 2025 IWG Abstracts are due September 16
Keats already posted, but I wanted to send a brief reminder that abstracts for imaging presentations at the 2025 AIC Annual Meeting are due on September 16, 2024. We have two sessions to consider:
- General Concurrent Session: "Capturing Complexity: Addressing Imaging Challenges Through Collaboration" (call for submissions link)
- Joint Specialty Session with Book & Paper (BPG), Photographic Materials (PMG), and Research and Technical Studies (RATS) Session on Imaging: "Technical Imaging of Book, Paper, and Photographic Materials" (call for submissions link)
Additionally, we will have a luncheon to introduce and clarify multiband, multispectral, and hyperspectral imaging.
We are looking forward to reading your abstracts! For tips on writing an effective abstract, see the attached document
and visit the new submission FAQs page. (
