The TSG Wiki working group is excited to announce our next edit-a-thon that will focus on the Compensation for Loss page, to take place over the month of February! This page is already an excellent resource for conservation dyeing - we thank all of the original contributors and encourage members to visit the page for a great overview of all the considerations for dyeing.
This month, we would like to expand the page to include alternative methods for loss compensation. New sections will be added on the use of textile paints, needle felting, and digital printing. Do you have bibliographic resources or images of one of these techniques in use? Have you explored alternative loss compensation techniques? Please reach out to the Wiki coordinators at textilespecialtygroup.wiki@gmail.com! We welcome any contribution great or small, from a single image to a bullet point list of pros/cons or a publication that you found especially helpful (or that you wrote)! As always, we also welcome edits and updates to the current pages.
