Hi All,
I am writing to let you know about the increase in dues for Professional Members, which was mentioned in Elmer and Lissa's email sent to all AIC members yesterday. If you want to renew at the old rates, please do so before Monday September 9, 2024. While you are renewing you may notice that there is a $15 fee for AHN. I wanted to let you know that *this fee is optional* and unchecking it will not remove you from being a member of AHN.
AHN is not charging dues and you do not have to pay the $15 optional add-on if you do not want to. Students and post-grads will not see the paid option, it will still be displayed as $0.
However, this optional fee will now go to support activities and programming for our Network. AHNs goals for this year include creating Caring for Your Treasures didactics aimed at archaeologists. If you choose to support AHN, these funds will help support this initiative as we are planning on having physical print-outs available. We are also going to be having a virtual talk series beginning in late October/early November that we will be putting out a call for short, site-based talks shortly!
