The C2C Care Community is fortunate to be monitored by a group of volunteer conservation professionals who answer questions directly or seek the assistance of conservators and collections care professionals who provide expert assistance. Our monitor for the next two weeks is @Kelly Liu.
Kelly Liu is an emerging museum and conservation professional with dual B.A. degrees in Art History and Public Relations and a minor in Archaeology from the University of Southern California. She works as a Conservation Technician with Site and Studio Conservation and the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture's Civic Art Program, assisting in the conservation of Benjamin Dominguez's Play Sculptures at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area. Following this project, she will head to Skagway, Alaska, to join a paper conservation program at the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park with the National Park Service. This is her first time serving as a C2C Care Monitor, a role that combines her passion for connecting people with her communication and digital outreach experience. Kelly looks forward to supporting fellow museum professionals, sharing resources, and strengthening the collections care community.
Our thanks to @Kelly Liu and to all our C2C Care Monitors. Interested in volunteering? Please email c2cc@culturalheritage.org.
