The C2C Care Community is fortunate to be monitored by a group of volunteer conservation professionals who answer questions directly or seek the assistance of conservators and collections care professionals who provide expert assistance. Our monitor for the next two weeks is @Elizabeth Peirce.
Liz is the Objects Conservator at the Library of Congress. She obtained her MA in Principles of Conservation and MSc in Conservation for Archaeology and Museums from the University College London. She is particularly interested in the preservation of organic materials and the stories that cultural heritage can tell. She has worked in a wide range of institutions including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Historic New England, and Winterthur. She has been a C2C Care Monitor since 2022 Liz applied to be a C2C Care monitor because she wants to help empower institutions to help care for their collections and help find practical ways to do so.
Our thanks to @Elizabeth Peirce and to all our C2C Care Monitors. Interested in volunteering? Please email c2cc@culturalheritage.org.
