The C2C Care Community is fortunate to be monitored by a group of volunteer conservation professionals who answer questions directly or seek the assistance of conservators and collections care professionals who provide expert assistance. Our monitor for the next two weeks is @Nicole Peters.
Nicole is an objects conservator specializing in historic, industrial, and cultural artifacts. She received her M.A and Certificate of Advanced Study in Art Conservation with a focus in objects conservation from Buffalo State College. Prior to her current position at NPS Harpers Ferry Center, Nicole owned and operated a private conservation practice based out of Skagway, Alaska and has been a C2C Care Monitor since 2016.
According to Nicole "I like volunteering as a C2CC monitor because I find the experience educational and personally rewarding. It is fascinating to learn about the different projects and challenges the museum community faces, and I very much enjoy delving into new topics of research in order to help provide guidance. The C2CC program is an invaluable service and I think we all benefit from this open dialogue!"
Our thanks to @Nicole Peters and to all our C2C Care Monitors. Interested in volunteering? Please email c2cc@culturalheritage.org.
