On the near-last day of our AIC Wiki Edit-a-Thon month, the BPG Wiki coordinators would like to bring your attention to a page in need of broad expansion and perspectives: BPG Bookbinding Traditions by Region or Culture
This page was created in 2017 and has since been expanded and renamed as part of a Wiki-wide effort to de-center European bookbinding traditions, structures, and treatment techniques. Originally named "BPG Non-Western Bookbinding Structures and their Conservation", we're hoping that it can now grow include a global representation of book making histories as well as more granular treatment of traditions by specific geographic, temporal, and cultural regions. While it is currently formatted as an annotated bibliography, we welcome additional citations, original content, photo contributions.
Thank you to all the people who have contributed to this specific page and to the AIC Wiki as a whole!
As always, please contact us with any questions or comments at bookandpapergroup.wiki@gmail.com.
