    Dear AIC Members,

Thank you to all who joined us for the BPG/PMG Wiki Lunch Session at the Annual Meeting in Los Angeles last month. We had a lively and productive discussion about creating a new cross-disciplinary wiki page on Photo Albums

Topics discussed during the session include the scope of information and formats to include, options for structuring and organizing wiki pages on albums and scrapbooks, potential overlapping content elsewhere on the AIC Wiki, and the various preservation and treatment challenges presented by photo albums. A complete summary of what was discussed can be found here. Please feel free to add your own comments to the document.

Our next step is to form a working group to develop content and create new pages for albums, photo books, and related formats. If you would like to be a part of this group or contribute in any way, please email us at wiki.pmg@gmail.com or bookandpapergroup.wiki@gmail.com. We hope to hold a virtual meeting with all interested colleagues in early/mid July to start outlining content and assigning roles. Time commitment for participation can be as low or as high as you wish, and all contributions are welcome.

During the lunch session we also shared the improvements made to the Book and Paper Group Wiki and the Photographic Materials Group Wiki in 2021-22. Please see the BPG Wiki updates/goals and the PMG Wiki updates for more information. We'd like to express heartfelt thanks to the BPG Officers and a PMG donation in honor of Carmen Elia Olmos Flores, Eleonor Esther Reynoso Rosales, and Beatriz Méndez Cortés who made free lunches at the discussion session possible, to all of those who contributed to the wiki this year, and to all our readers. We look forward to another year of growth and learning.

    Sincerely,

Luisa Casella (Chair, PMG Wiki Committee)

Diane E. Knauf (Paper Coordinator, BPG Wiki)

Michelle Smith (Book Coordinator, BPG Wiki)
