We're looking forward to seeing you at this year's Book and Paper Group Wiki Discussion Session at the 52nd AIC Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City. The discussion is scheduled for Thursday, May 23rd from 12:00-1:15pm MDT.
During the session, we will share annual updates about the BPG Wiki and moderate a discussion during which attendees will be asked to provide input on the development of new content on the wiki. This year's discussion topic is the Conservation of Books and Paper in Historic House Settings. Together we will brainstorm and lay the groundwork for a new wiki page on this topic. We expect to touch on a wide range of issues and materials including wallpaper, bookshelves, frames, globes, trunks, housekeeping, mold, pests, the use of reproductions, and more. We welcome conservation professionals from all specialties who are interested in helping build a shared resource for caretakers of historic house collections.
This session is free with your regular Annual Meeting registration and will be livestreamed for virtual attendees. No RSVP is required. While this session occurs during lunch time, please keep in mind that no lunch will be provided, in order to keep the session free of charge. We plan to wrap up at 1:15pm to allow time to grab lunch before the afternoon sessions begin at 2:00pm.
Reach out to us at bookandpapergroup.wiki@gmail.com if you have any questions about the session or the BPG Wiki in general. We look forward to joining you in discussion very soon!
