    Hi Rachael,

During today's meeting, if time allows, I'd like to get people's input about an "archived page" disclaimer banner that I've been tinkering with.

BPG has a handful of pages that have been effectively retired, but that we would like to avoid deleting to preserve the page history. I created a template banner and have used on the old Paper Wiki Portal Page as an example. I also put the instructions for how to use the template in the discussion tab, with the idea of adding the proper re-direct link within the banner itself using the code.

I used a dark green from the AIC/FAIC style guide, but I think it might be too dark visually.

I'd love people's thoughts on this!

Sandrine, that banner looks great! And I actually liked the dark green colour, users can't really miss it when landing on the page.

Are you planning to keep all the Wikilinks in the archived page active?

PS: I saw your note on our talk:Workflows page, thank you. I can't reply to the discussion (I don't know why) but I added the task to the Trello board for future fixes.

    Hi Camilla,

Thank you! I ended up changing it to a lighter blue-green with black text and bolding the new link, instead of white text on dark green, but I'm not attached to the specific look of the banner.

It's a good question regarding wiki links, my idea was to simply leave the page completely as is. I mostly wanted to discourage people from using or contributing to those handful of pages, and to steer them in the right direction. I should however make sure that there aren't links on other pages that bring you towards the now-archived page.

It's very strange that you can't reply on the talk page! I did not want to edit your page myself, and just figured I would make a note of something that I noticed. The file/media situation happens every so often for us.

    Best,
