COVID-19 Information

We follow local, state, and federal health agency guidelines for any in-person meeting and will continue monitor the ever-changing advances and restrictions regarding COVID-19. We may need to add additional safety measures to the ones below closer to the conference dates. Please check this page regularly for new information.

Vaccination Requirements

As part of our commitment to holding a safe, productive, and successful in-person 50th Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, all in-person attendees must be fully vaccinated as defined by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or World Health Organization (WHO).

An attendee is defined as either someone who has registered for all or part of the in-person meeting, has received a complimentary registration, is employed by a company exhibiting at the conference to assist with setting up or dismantling an exhibit booth, or is a guest of an attendee at any meeting event (tours, receptions, etc.) or will spend any time in our meeting space.

If you are fully vaccinated with a vaccine that has been approved or authorized for emergency use by the FDA, you must show us proof of full vaccination upon checking-in at the Westin Bonaventure (hotel requirement) via the Clear Health Pass, a third-party app that verifies a copy of your CDC vaccination card. Clear is the same company that runs the airport priority security screening program, but you don't need to be a Clear member to use the app. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau provides this service at no cost to you or us.

If fully vaccinated with a vaccine that has been approved or authorized for emergency use by the WHO but not by the FDA, you must show proof of full vaccination to us (method TBD) AND a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to checking-in at the conference registration desk and the Westin Bonaventure (hotel requirement).

Offsite Events

Our annual meeting contains offsite events. It is possible that some of the venues for these events will have different regulations from our host hotel. Some offsite venues might require vaccination with FDA-approved vaccines only and not allow a negative COVID test as a substitution. If they do allow a negative COVID test as a substitution, you might need to retest mid-meeting to stay with the 72- hour window.  We will keep updating this page as we learn new information. As part of the registration process, we will be asking if you are fully vaccinated with either an FDA- or WHO-approved/approved for emergency use vaccine. This is solely to help us keep everyone updated on changing regulations.
