Current Workshops

  • Our professional development workshops are a crucial source for continuing education for conservation professionals. Many of our them are hands-on, lab-based experiences that are not offered anywhere else in the world.
  • We established an endowment fund to support these programs with the support of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and contributions from individuals. Some workshops are also supported by additional sources, as noted below.

Professional development workshop topics are reviewed and selected by reviewed by the FAIC Education Coordinator, AIC Board Director of Professional Education and Training, and AIC Education and Training Committee (ETC), with input from Specialty Group leaders as appropriate.
