FAIC Event Code of Conduct

The Foundation for Advancement in Conservation (FAIC) is dedicated to providing a positive experience for everyone participating in a workshop, training, or other event, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, and physical appearance.

FAIC expects event participants to maintain a cordial tone and respectful attitude during any and all exchanges. Instances of mistreatment, including abusive, harassing, or threatening behavior toward other attendees, FAIC staff, host staff, or anyone connected to the event will not be tolerated.

If you feel you have experienced such behavior, please report the incident as soon as possible. Reports can be made to the event host (you will be taken to a private space where your complaint will be discussed) or by emailing Deputy Director Tiffani Emig at temig@culturalheritage.org. At all times, your confidentiality will be protected.

If a participant engages in behavior that violates this code of conduct, FAIC may take any action it deems appropriate, including warning the offender or their expulsion from the workshop or event with no refund.
