PMG Speaker Stipend

The PMG offers speaker stipends in the amounts $500-$1,500 to help defray costs for members who are attending the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) Annual Meeting. Stipends will be reviewed by an awards committee composed of PMG Officers and may prioritize students and recent graduates. Preference may be given to applicants who have not received funding within the past three years and who are speaking at the meeting. Stipends may be used for transportation, lodging, meals, and registration.


  • December 15 Applications Due

  • January 24-February 7 Notification of award 

Criteria for Review

  • Applicant must be a member of PMG

  • Budget information must demonstrate financial need 

  • Two references

  • Completeness of application illustrating desired professional development outcomes and expected individual contributions to the field

  • Applicant must be speaking, moderating, or presenting a poster at the AIC annual meeting

Application Process

The process of applying is managed through an online system. You will be prompted to login to the system using a login ID and password (use your AIC login information). This is a direct link to the application portal:

*References will receive an email upon completion of application to a brief form regarding their support for the application. Recommendations submitted will not be visible to the applicant.

You can save and return to your application later to complete. When you are satisfied with your responses, “save and finalize” to submit your application. Once the application has been submitted, you cannot return to edit the form. 

Final Report

A blog post must be submitted to within 30 days of the Annual Meeting. Final reports are required to be eligible for future funding and may be posted on digital platforms.
