Speaker Stipend

We offer speaker stipends in the amount of $500-$2,000 to help defray costs for members presenting at the AIC Annual Meeting.  An awards committee will review stipend applications. They may prioritize students and recent graduates and applicants who have not received funding within the past three years. Recipients may may use stipends for transportation, lodging, meals, and registration.

Dates

  • Applications Due: December 15 
  • Notifications: January 24-February 7

Criteria for Review

  • Wooden Artifacts Group membership
  • Speaker participation in Annual Meeting program
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Two references
  • Completeness of application illustrating desired professional development outcomes and expected individual contributions to the field

Application Process

We manage the application process through an online system. You will need to login to the system using a login ID and password (use your AIC login information).

Four sections of the application:

  1. Applicant information
  2. Project information
  3. Reference information *
  4. Budget information

*References will receive an email upon completion of application to a brief form regarding their support for the application. Applicants will not see submitted letters of recommendation.

You can save and return to your application later to complete. When you are satisfied with your responses, “save and finalize” to submit your application. Once you have submitted the application, you cannot return to edit the form.

Final Report

Recipients must submit a link to a blog post to membership@culturalheritage.org within 30 days of the Annual Meeting in order to maintain eligibility for future funding.
