This special event offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with one of the field's most respected textile conservation experts. Camille will be answering your questions live on anything related to textile preservation and conservation.
Camille states, "I like to empower people to learn the preservation techniques that they need to care for their collections, and how to know when a conservator needs to join your discussion." She can address anything from preventive conservation to storage and display questions. She enjoys being a bridge between collections care professionals and conservators.
About Camille Myers Breeze: Camille holds a BA in Art History from Oberlin College and an MA in Costume and Textiles Conservation from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her distinguished career includes positions at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and the American Textile History Museum before founding Museum Textile Services in 1999. Her conservation studio has received awards from AAM, AASLH, NEMA, and Maine Preservation. Camille is a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation, co-chair of the Conservation Affinity Group of the New England Museum Association, and an instructor at the Center for Collections Care at Beloit College.
