Good afternoon, all,
Our public programs coordinator is exploring having live musicians in the galleries for an upcoming program. She is already limiting this to string and woodwind instruments and there will be no amplification of these instruments in the galleries.
In addition to the above, I am asking her to consider spacing for the musicians so that we don't have a bow poke artwork (or the droplets coming out of a woodwind land on one).
Are there other concerns we should consider in our assessment about whether to proceed with musicians in the galleries?
I appreciate thoughts on this or the experiences of others with live musicians in gallery spaces. We have previously had musicians in our lobby space, but not inside the galleries.
