Next Tuesday, November 8th, our global climate is on the ballot, and your voice matters more than ever. The news is bleak, but there is room for hope. At this critical point in history, we can be part of the solution that will keep our planet habitable to humans and the flora and fauna we share it with. And maintaining a habitable planet is one of the most important responsibilities of professionals who work to preserve cultural heritage. To do this, we need systemic changes that can only be employed on national and world levels. That means electing politicians who acknowledge that climate change is real, and who prioritize policies and legislation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The AIC Sustainability Committee urges you to vote for candidates who prioritize taking action on the climate crisis. Speak to your friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues about voting and assist them in doing so. Voting matters!
