The C2C Care Community is fortunate to be monitored by a group of volunteer conservation professionals who answer questions directly or seek the assistance of conservators and collections care professionals who provide expert assistance. Our monitor for the next two weeks is @Arianna Buffagni.
Arianna is an Italian conservator and restorer specializing in the restoration of paintings and objects on canvas, wood, and contemporary materials. She has worked as a freelance professional in Italy and abroad, gaining valuable experience and insight through diverse projects and collaborations. She is interested in structural interventions on canvases and wooden art, and in the use of green (less impactant) solvents. She is also a volunteer in Cesmar 7, as part of the staff. Since becoming a C2C Care monitor in 2022, she has found the role both engaging and rewarding, appreciating the opportunity to support others while continuing her own learning and research. She values C2C Care as a meaningful resource for professionals in the field, fostering practical support and a strong sense of community.
