The C2C Care Community is fortunate to be monitored by a group of volunteer conservation professionals who answer questions directly or seek the assistance of conservators and collections care professionals who provide expert assistance. Our monitor for the next two weeks is @Elizabeth Peirce.
Liz Peirce is the Objects Conservator at the Library of Congress, where she focuses on the preservation of wooden artifacts and other organic materials, as well as the stories cultural heritage objects can reveal. She has worked at a variety of institutions, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Historic New England, and Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library. Liz has served as a C2C Care Monitor for three and a half years and enjoys collaborating with a wide range of institutions and experts. She values the role in empowering organizations to care for their collections and to find practical, achievable preservation solutions.
Our thanks to @Elizabeth Peirce and to all our C2C Care Monitors. Interested in volunteering? Please email c2cc@culturalheritage.org.
