Lydia Aikenhead is an Assistant Conservator at the Thomas J. Watson Library of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She was recently a Kress Fellow in Book Conservation at the Conservation Center for Historic and Artistic Works in Philadelphia. Lydia graduated in 2019 from NYU as a Mellon Fellow in Library & Archive Conservation with an M.A. in Art History and an M.S. in Conservation. During her years at NYU, she interned at institutions in Florence and Oxford, the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, D.C., and, most recently, at the The Morgan Library & Museum in New York.
