Biography

As of 2024, my pre-program work has taken a back seat to managing new disabilities from Long Covid/ PASC. I continue to function with the goal of graduate study if health allows. I come from a background in the arts, crafts, and hands-on production processes. In late 2019 I committed to a career pivot back to a long-held interest in conservation. Embarked on my pre-program work in summer 2020, with a paper conservation internship at the Georgia State Archives. 2021-23 included work with paper conservator in private practice Dawn Heller; an internship in outdoor sculpture conservation at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden; an internship in book conservation at the Charleston Library Society; and a technician position for 1yr9mos at Etherington Conservation. So far my time at Harvard has afforded me increased exposure to treatments for library materials being actively used as well as engagement with the social and political ramifications of doing conservation in a lab embedded within an academic institution.
