The Center for Collections is offering
22 professional development courses in 2024! These non-credit-bearing courses are a great way to expand your knowledge and hand-on skills while networking with other museum, library, archive, and conservation professionals on our museum-rich campus. Course levels (1-3) help ensure training meets the needs of both emerging and practicing professionals. Please share this opportunity with your staff and students!
NEW COURSES
Two new online courses (Culturally Informed Collections Stewardship and NAGPRA in Practice) as well as four new in-person courses (Introduction to Painting Conservation, Gilding Conservation, Museum Mannequins, and Advanced NAGPRA in Practice) are now open for registration.
SCHOLARSHIPS
C3 is funded in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, which supports
scholarships for small museum and emerging professionals. We encourage applicants to apply early and to apply even if they do not fit the application criteria as our goal is to fund as many applicants as possible.
COURSE DURATION
In-person courses are between three and five days in length and online courses span four weeks with two hours of synchronous time per week. In-person course fees include room and board and all consumable supplies. Most online courses include hands-on kits mailed to participants.
