Hi everyone! My name is Isabell Moyer, and I am a recent graduate from RIT's Museum Studies program. I recently received a Fulbright Award to go to Croatia this fall to conduct research in the State Archives in Dubrovnik with a multispectral imaging system for historical artifacts (MISHA). As part of my Fulbright experience, I am helping to organize a conference in Dubrovnik in March 2025 on cultural heritage imaging and innovation with Juilee Decker, David Messinger, Irena Guszak and Francis Brassard. The call for papers for the conference has been released, and we are asking all those interested to apply. For more information, please read the message below and please feel free to reach out to me at ikm5781@g.rit.edu. Thank you!

Conference Website: Cultural Heritage Imaging & Innovation Conference 2025 | RIT Croatia | RIT
The inaugural Cultural Heritage Imaging + Innovation (CHII) Symposium seeks to bring together historians, scholars, practitioners, scientists, and technologists to further innovation in this dynamic field. CHII will bring together interdisciplinary leaders and practitioners in these fields to bridge the gaps between historical artifacts, emerging technologies, existing spaces, and public engagement opportunities.
Expected attendees will include academics working in cultural heritage imaging and other related fields, practitioners in industry, NGOs, and historical institutions, undergraduate students, and hospitality and tourism professionals interested in the presentation of local cultural heritage.
The conference will consist of presentations, poster sessions, and demonstration spaces while providing significant time for communication and networking among attendees.
The conference will be in-person only, taking place in the beautiful and historic city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Dubrovnik is home to the first international RIT campus, which was established in 1997, at an impressive site in the vicinity of the old town, at Don Frana Bulića 6.
Join us in Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site also known as "the Pearl of the Adriatic" which is a unique destination that magnificently combines the natural beauty of the pristine Adriatic Sea and mountainous Croatian landscape with outstanding architecture and old-world city planning. Dubrovnik is much more than a fascinating Old Town; it is a gateway to the past, a vibrant present, and an exciting future-making it the ideal setting for this conference. The city's allure lies not only in its captivating history and stunning landscapes but also in its warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage.
