    Hi,

    We have a vintage cash register that has a marble slab that is broken.  We are hoping to be able to glue it back together as best we can.  Are there any types of glue that would work well with this endeavor?

    Clear Cyanoacrylate with Baking Soda, applied with a Syringe.  You can adhere broken white and colored marble without tell-tale gray lines in the marble.     Before applying any irreversible adhesive, apply a thin coat of Paranoid B72 (acrylic copolymer resin) in acetone as a barrier layer to both break edges.

    Cyanoacrylate (Super glue) adhesives are designed to be temporary (eg 2 years).

    Colourless polyester adhesives, mixed with a white powder pigment, can create a strong, almost invisible, bond and has a longer hardening time, allowing more precise adjustment. Protect both break edges with Paraloid B72 so the join can always be taken down in future. Test the mix of pigments and polyester to make sure the colour is right when set.
