    Hello all,

Anyone have any advise of storing 1920s mercury glass and also plaster molds from the 1800s? Thank you!

    Hi Bonnie-

I was in touch with a few of our C2C Care Experts on your question and wanted to both ask some more questions/pass along some info. See below for each item and happy to keep the conversation going.

    1920s mercury glass
-For the glass could you specify if you are talking about mercury glass tableware or possibly something else? If it is mercury glass tableware an expert relayed that "Mercury" glassware is typically silver not mercury and can be treated as most types of glassware. But if we are talking about something else - that could change the way it is handled/stored. Specifically if it is mercury mirrors AIC has created an entire wiki dealing with that: https://www.conservation-wiki.com/wiki/Tin-Mercury_Amalgam_Mirrors

    plaster molds from the 1800s
-Could you send along more information on the molds? Information like a basic description, current condition or even some pictures would help our experts.

    Thanks again!
