Hi there,
Posting for a friend, who's institution has a large Epson printer that they use for producing proofs for book projects and other publications. Would it be completely out of line to store and (lightly) use this in an art storage space?
The room is large, with a partition on one side that closes part of the room off from flat files, but it's still mostly open. They are concerned that toner would float around and possibly end up in the drawers or on surfaces on which art is sometimes placed. Could they mitigate against this?
Most of my (admittedly) quick google research discussed the issue of toner particles and lung issues, but didn't talk about how far / prevalent the particulates would spread. And in this case, while some work would happen in the space, it's not anyone's primary work environment.
Thanks in advance for any insights you can share,
Robin
