CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS STASH Flash 2023
To complement AIC's 51st Annual Meeting conference theme, we are bringing back the ever-popular STASH Flash Storage Tips session! We already have a few papers and are looking for a few more to round out our discussions based on the conference theme.
The session will focus on storage and support solutions that enhance the conference theme by providing storage solutions to help adapt and sustain collection use practice. The program will utilize a lightening round or "Tips" format as well as guided, audience participatory discussion. We are calling for contributions of short (5 minute) tips on the following themes:
- An item's composition will affect the materials chosen for storage as well as the design; how is your storage solution guided by the relationship between collection materials and storage materials?
- Choice of quality materials appropriate for long-term storage can be difficult; what choices have you made to incorporate sustainable materials with low environmental impact or how have you adapted economical non-archival materials to make them safe for use in a storage solution?
- Innovative storage solutions for individual artifacts or collection groups that do not conform to either theme will be accepted if space allows.
- Do you have a tip on a new material that will expand our range of choices for storage?
Presenters will be asked to show up with their solution in a ready format for uploading to the STASH website (www.STASHc.com) after the conference.
