Melissa Krok-Horton is the Assistant Exhibitions Preparator in the Virginia Herrick Deknatel Paper Conservation Laboratory at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She divides her time between readying works on paper for exhibition and integrating new acquisitions into museum-standard archival storage housing. Previously, Melissa was the Collections and Exhibition Technician at the Boston Athenaeum. She also worked as an art handler and installation specialist for multiple arts institutions including the MIT List Visual Arts Center, the MIT Museum, the Bakalar & Paine Galleries at MassArt and Clark Fine Art Services. She has installed art and performed preparatory work for museums, galleries, corporations, galas, auctions, and private residences. Lastly, Melissa is an artist who maintains an active studio practice.
