Alice Boccia Paterakis has a MAC in Objects Conservation from Queen’s University, Canada, and a PhD in Archaeological Conservation from the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. She was Head of Conservation of the Agora Excavations for the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece, for several years. Since 2008 she has held the position Director of Conservation for the Japanese Institute of Anatolian Archaeology in Turkey. Alice was a Lecturer for the UCLA/Getty Interdepartmental Program in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Los Angeles from 2018 to 2024. She is currently Head of Conservation for the Missouri History Museum, Soldiers Memorial Military Museum, and the Library Research Center of the Missouri Historical Society. Alice is a Fellow of the AIC, IIC, and the American Academy in Rome (FAAR 2000).
