Biography

Charlotte Seifen Ameringer is a Fellow of AIC and has been a member of the Paintings Specialty Group for over 20 years. Charlotte is currently Conservator at the Portland Art Museum. She previously worked as a Conservator of Paintings at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston for 15 years, and at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the High Museum in Atlanta, GA, the Balboa Art Conservation Center in San Diego, CA, and The National Trust UK. She is a graduate of the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program. Charlotte is actively involved in AIC. She previously served one term on the Membership Committee and two terms on the Ethics and Standards Committee. She previously served as the PSG Program Chair and as PSG Secretary/Treasurer. Charlotte is strongly committed to advocating for the conservation profession. She has served as a grant reviewer for IMLS and the “Save America’s Treasures” program and has served in an advisory capacity for a number of organizations.
