Dawn Jaros is the Head of Library Conservation at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Margaret Herrick Library where she oversees all preservation and conservation activities for the Library’s collection departments. Previously, Ms. Jaros held positions at the Art Institute of Chicago (AIC) in the Prints and Drawings department in Chicago, IL.; the Balboa Art Conservation Center in San Diego, CA.; the National Archives and Records Administration in College Park, MD; the Denver Art Museum, Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Western Center for the Conservation of Fine Art, all in Denver, CO. Ms. Jaros completed her graduate studies at Buffalo State College with M.A. in Art Conservation and Certificate of Advanced Study in Paper Conservation in 2008. She has been a member of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works organization since 2004 and became a Professional Member of AIC in 2013. Ms. Jaros is a Los Angeles Preservation Network, a nonprofit preservation resource of small local institutions, and a Steering Committee member since 2014.
