Kyle Norris is a fourth-year graduate student at the New York University Conservation program specializing in painting conservation. He is currently completing his fourth year capstone internship at the New York State Bureau of Historic Sites, located at Peebles Island State Park in Cohoes New York under Elizabeth Robson, painting conservator. He has trained at various museums such as the Virgina Museum of Fine Arts, the University of Pennsylvania Anthropology and Archeology Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and Villa La Pietra at NYU Florence. His research interests include the structural conservation of panel and canvas paintings, which centers on innovative ways to care for the longevity of cultural heritage.
