Marina Kastan is an Associate Conservator in the Objects Conservation Department of the Metropolitan Museum of Art specializing in leather and upholstery. Previously, she was a Textile Conservator at the North Carolina Museum of History and completed Fellowships at the Denver Art Museum and in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. She holds an MA in Fashion and Textile Studies with a concentration in conservation from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Master of Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute. She is currently Secretary of the Textile Specialty Group.
