Nicole Grabow is the Director of Preventive Conservation at the Midwest Art Conservation Center (MACC), a regional center based in Minneapolis. Nicole joined MACC in 2006 as an objects conservator and transitioned to preventive conservation in 2018. She has taught a variety of workshops on conservation-related topics including arsenic testing, cleaning feathers, maintenance of outdoor sculpture, silver polishing, preventive conservation, emergency planning, and art handling. She has experience working with Native American collections and working with Native institutions on a variety of collections care topics. She has served on the Minneapolis Public Art Commission as well as the Minneapolis Public Art Advisory Panel and enjoys consulting with local artists on public projects. Nicole graduated with a MS from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation in 2003 and is a certified CAP assessor and an AIC Fellow.
