Saira Haqqi is a conservator at the National Archives and Records Administration in College Park, MD. Prior to this, she was the book and paper conservator at the Minnesota Historical Society. Saira received her B.A. in Liberal Arts from Carleton College, MN, and Master’s degrees in Art History and Art Conservation from New York University. She has been active in professional service, including a term as Secretary for the AIC Book and Paper Group. Saira’s most recent published research appears in the Book and Paper Group Annual 35. She has enjoyed working with FAIC and AIC to facilitate educational programs including a webinar on the assessment of cultural institutions for disaster planning with Susan Duhl and Robert Herskovitz, and a panel discussion on fire prevention and response with Liane Naauao.
