  • 1.  Empty metal tubes for adhesive; 30ml.

    Dear Colleagues in the US,
Just wondering if anyone had a better source for these than Conservation Resources?
Theirs are quite expensive ($18.00 for 10) and also out of stock.
    Thanks!
    Kathy

    Hi Kathy,

    Have you tried:
    Kremer Pigmente

    Blick

When I've had trouble in the past finding them, searching for "aluminum squeeze tubes" or "aluminum paint tubes" and I can usually find a source.

Good luck! Let us know what you find.

    Kate

    Thank you Katherines!
And getting 100ml tubes and cutting them down a bit is a good idea that might work really well for the next big project.

    Hi Kathy,

I don't have another source for the metal adhesive tubes, but in the field I've used small plastic bottles with a fine applicator tip which have worked well.  I purchased these on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Darice-Applicator-Plastic-1-Ounce-1162-16/dp/B000PD0BNI?th=1

I used it for resins that were around a 40-45% concentration. The tip was fine enough for easy and controlled application, but not too narrow that it was restrictive in terms of adhesive flow.

    best,
    Vanessa
